 Portable Stepless Variable Speed Mixers
Portable Stepless Variable Speed Mixers have the same proven components as our constant speed mixers. - A firm mounting assembly with rapid acting universal ball and socket swivel clamp, adjustable through 360 degrees in a horizontal plane, tilts back 100 degrees to clear tank. Broad clamp face to grip tank edge. Accurate sleeve coupling. Precision shafting. Balanced, high performance propellers. Geared models offer heavy duty gears and wide bearing span for shaft support.
MOTORS
Shunt wound continuous duty, DC motors are used. Totally enclosed and explosion proof motors have a 75 degree C rise above ambient at full load, and Class B insulation. 120 volts in fractional sizes, and 120 or 240 volts integral.
CONTROLS
For the unltimate in speed control, a shunt wound motor with a full wave transistorized silicon rectifier is used. These provide full range speed from 0 to 1725 RPM, or 0 to 430 RPM in the geared models, with full rated torque over the whole range. Where constant pre-set speed under varying load is desired, this combination is suggested. Portected against overload.
Full wave controls with various features, for operation from 230 volt, 60 cy., 3 phase current supply, require separate rectifier assembly in wall mounted cabinet. Attached or remote operator station, any enclosure. Higher voltages reduceable by transformer.
Variable speed drives are available for vertical flange mounted or side entering mixers to 25 horse power. Wetted parts in carbon or stainless steels, monel, or coated, as required. |
