The CR pump series covers a performance range unmatched by any other pump manufacturer in its field with pumps suitable for a variety of applications - from drinking water to high viscosity liquids
Grundfos' unique hydraulic design and the new production techniques allow the CR to offer the highest efficiency of any multi-stage centrifugal pumps in the world--a considerable advantage to the operating efficiency of large pumps.
CR Pump Product Range:
- Small CR Pumps (1s-1-3-5)
- Medium CR Pumps (10-15-20)
- Large CR Pumps (32-45-64-90)
- Series CRE (Electronic/Variable Speed)
- Series CRI/CRIE
- Series CRN (with 316SS)/CRNE
- Series CRT (Titanium)
CR Pump Applications:

Industrial Process Applications:
- Process water for food, petrochemical, steel and numerous other industries
- Wash-down, car-washing and cleaning
- Boiler feed, heating and cooling plants
- Cooling and lubrication for machine tools
- Water treatment plants, filtration and reverse osmosis systems
Reliable even in Demanding Applications
Grundfos CR pumps are designed for trouble-free running where choice of materials is of special importance--even when pumping aggressive liquids such as detergents and solvent solutions. In the CRN models, all parts coming into contact with the pumped liquid are made from high grade corrosion-resistant stainless steel (316SS). These pumps incorporate several features for handling
liquids containing air and particles.
High efficiency
Industrial applications typically require long operating periods. Grundfos CR pumps are ideally suited for this sort of application due to the very high efficiency ratios of greater than 80%. Series C Pumps are available with Grundfos MLE fully integrated variable speed motors through 10 HP. Variable speed significantly reduces energy consumption in dynamic applications.
Large variety of connections
CR pumps come with a choice of different connections. ANSI flange and PJE couplings are standard, while optional connections include DIN and JIS flanges as well as union and clamp couplings.

Irrigation & Agricultural Applications:
- Agricultural fields, nurseries and greenhouses
- Lawns, parkland, gardens and other recreational areas
- Golf courses, football stadiums and other sports field
Designed for Irrigation
Grundfos CR pumps have excellent suction characteristics (low NPSH), and are suitable for handling water carrying moderate amounts of sand or other particles which can be detrimental to many types of pumps. This is achieved partly through the use of tungsten carbide bearings in the CR series. CR pumps are designed to start reliably even after extended periods of inactivity.
The larger models – CR32 and up – can be supplied with a special hybrid seal which is capable of withstanding occasional dry running.
Reliable and economic
Failure of an agricultural irrigation pump may have devastating consequences. Reliability is an essential quality of any pump used in this application. The CR series is designed to meet this demand with an efficiency rate of greater than 80% – resulting in extremely low energy consumption and low long-term running costs.
Wide selection of models
A wide variety of models makes it possible to select a pump to suit any irrigation system.

Water Supply Applications:
- Water works & water distribution (private & public)
- Pressure boosting for network distribution
- Pressure boosting for high-rise buildings, public institutions, industry and agriculture
Reliability is a key factor
Reliable water supply systems are a key factor in our modern society. Grundfos CR pumps are constructed as heavy duty units, capable of withstanding the wear and tear resulting from repeated stop-and-start operations as well as extended periods of continuous running – typical of water works.
Low running costs
Supplying water at the lowest possible price is another essential requirement, resulting in increased demands for pump efficiency as well as low running and maintenance costs. With their high efficiency ratios (greater than 80%) Grundfos CR pumps are designed to meet these demands.

"Stack-on" construction makes service easy
Durable bearings
Hard-wearing materials and a wide choice of options for difficult liquids enhance the service life of CR bearings
Easy to install
Due to their compact vertical in-line design, CR pumps are easy to handle and can be installed practically anywhere. The pumps may be installed horizontally when required. Its design facilitates simplified pipe configuration and minimizes the risk of harmful strains from the pipe system.
Easy servicing
Time is money in industry – perhaps more than anywhere else. That is why the CR models are constructed with long-term use in mind, featuring easily replaceable wear parts and servicing that requires no special tools. Grundfos offers packaged service kits including the STACK®, or a complete impeller & chamber assembly which can be replaced on site in a few minutes.
The unique service kit program makes it easy to service CR pumps in the field.
High user comfort
Due to the optimized pump characteristics of Grundfos CR pumps, end users will enjoy maximum comfort. Minimal levels of noise and vibration allow the pumps to be installed practically anywhere.
Dry-running protection
25% of all pump failures are caused by dry-running of the pump. Grundfos CR offers a way to avoid dry-running altogether
High-performance hydraulics
Grundfos ’ state-of-the art hydraulic design and production technology optimise pump efficiency
Material options
Four different material options are available for parts in contact with the pumped liquid: titanium, stainless steel AISI 316, stainless steel AISI 304 and AISI 304/cast iron
