Flanged Gear Coupling

| Flanged sleeve gear coupling are available with both shrouded and exposed bolts up to size 5½ and exposed bolts only for larger sizes. Bolts are alloy steel heat treated for greater strength; no threads area within the shear plane. All Lovejoy/Sier-Bath flanged sleeve "F" Series couplings meet AGMA dimensional standards, where applicable, for matching other industry standard couplings.
Lovejoy/Sier-Bath couplings are stocked to size seven. Stock includes bored to size hubs, and exposed bolt or shrouded bolt sleeves.

Alloy Steel Coupling
Lovejoy/Sier-Bath "FA" Series Flanged Sleeve Gear Couplings feature heat-treated 4140 alloy steel construction for high-strength operating in your demanding power transmission applications. Its tooth form also means less backlash for the same amount of misalignment capability. Compared to conventional steel couplings of equal size, the "FA" Series provides longer service life under equal operating conditions. Labyrinth Seal Coupling
Lovejoy/Sier-Bath brings you a gear coupling design with no failure-prone parts, such as springs, discs or rubber o-rings. The "FLA" Series of couplings features precision labyrinth seals that keep lubrication in and dirt out for longer tooth life. Especially suited for high temperature applications, the metal end rings and labyrinth seals extend the service life of the coupling and reduce your maintenance efforts. The "FLA" straight face tooth permits up to ½° angularity in each of the two gear sets, or 1° between connected shafts. This coupling also has longer than normal sleeve teeth to help accommodate small amounts of slide. Importantly, the "FLA" is interchangeable by half coupling with most industry standards. An easy-to-assemble coupling, the "FLA" can also be simply selected by shaft size, without a service factor. In addition, extra large grease reservoirs – more than 250% larger than other gear couplings – reduce lubrication intervals, cutting overall maintenance time.

Continuous Sleeve Coupling
Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Continuous Sleeve Gear Couplings are the most compact torque transmitting devices available. In fact, "C" Gear Couplings are only 60% of the size of a flanged sleeve coupling. With its light weight, smaller envelope and lower inertia, the Lovejoy/Sier-Bath "C" coupling has a longer life than other gear couplings and can provide you with more trouble-free operation hours. Additionally, "C" Couplings accommodate misalignment (angular and offset) and end-float through the rocking action of the hubs in the sleeve. The advanced assembly and lubrication sealing arrangement eliminates the need for cumbersome flanges, bolts and nuts. |

The standard continuous sleeve coupling design is one of simplicity, which allows inexpensive adaptation to a wide variety of special types. So if you are looking for smaller size, longer life and lower cost in your gear couplings, look to Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Continuous Sleeve Couplings. For reasonable life expectancy and low reactionary loads, misalignment per mesh should not exceed ¾° for small couplings and ½° for larger couplings.

Rigid Adjustable Type
The RA/RAHS series of couplings features axial positioning of the pump impeller in vertical pump applications. The clearance fit bores with keyway allow for easy installation and maintenance for the pump and/or motor.
We offer two different styles:
1) Type II Coupling consisting of two Rigid Hubs, Adjusting Nut and Split Ring for Motor hub
2) Type IV Coupling consisting of two Rigid Hubs, Adjusting Nut, Split Ring for Motor hub and Spacer.
The RA type coupling meets standard tolerances and the RAHS conforms to API 610 8th edition tolerances.
